I spent four years studying with Ted and Paula before transferring to UC Berkeley, where I graduated with high honors in the Interdisciplinary Studies major. The Interdisciplinary studies major allows students to create a custom course of study culminating in a thesis project. I wrote my thesis on theories of learning and critical thinking, largely inspired by my time studying with Ted and Paula. My intention was to become a teacher. However, after graduating, I decided to take a hiatus from higher education which continues to this day, for better or worse.

Since graduating, I have worked in a variety of information security focused roles. At present I’m particularly interested in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence and how they can be applied to improve learning outcomes and augment other human capabilities. I’m doing self-guided learning in this area with the goal of eventually obtaining relevant employment. During my down time, I enjoy reading and playing music.
